Turf Soccer Field at Coleman Park

About the project

Nashville Parks Foundation plans to install three “5-A-Side”artificial turf soccer fields at Coleman Park. Durability and ease of maintenance and the anticipated heavy use of the fields makes turf the appropriate surface.

This will be the first of several turf fields the foundation plans to install throughout the Nashville area.

The Nashville Parks Foundation is currently raising $300,000 to build the soccer fields.

Uniting diverse communities in a unique way

This project fills a tremendous need for soccer amenities in the area that will promote a positive outcome for residents physical and mental health while strengthening the community.

The ethnically diverse community surrounding Coleman Park and Community Center is densely populated with 22,000 residents. Soccer is an obsession and part of daily life for a large part of this community, yet there are limited public fields available.
