Watkins Park

Pump Track Expansion – New Wheel Park

We are currently in the design stage for a new track with expanded skateboard features. and space for young riders to learn skills. This new Wheel Park will serve the growing skate community in Nashville. Watkins Park is the oldest park in the Metro Parks system with the newest large-scale amenity.

MCCABE PARK

Playground & Community Center Improvements

Working with an established neighborhood group, we are renovating the playground to serve a broader range of ages, placing greater emphasis on safety, fencing, and shade. Additionally, we are beautifying the area around the community center with enhanced landscaping. We are also funding important facility and equipment upgrades to support the community center’s neighborhood and after-school programming.

Charlotte Park

Improvements & Development of Master Plan

Like many neighborhoods, Charlotte Park has experienced rapid growth and higher-density development, impacting park facilities. We have started community engagement by hosting stakeholder meetings with neighbors, council members, and the Metro Parks Planning Department to develop a conceptual master plan to include playground upgrades, a picnic shelter, restrooms, and water fountains. The tennis courts will be repaved and restriped for new pickleball courts and additional paving will be made to the parking lots.

CEDAR HILL PARK

Miracle League Field & Playground

Miracle League teams play on specially designed rubberized turf fields that accommodate wheelchairs and other assistive devices while helping to prevent injuries. This new facility at Cedar Hill will be a special needs baseball field and playground facility for inclusive play for all ages and capabilities.

The addition of a Miracle League Field will be the first of its kind in the Metro Parks system in Davidson County, transforming Madison-based Cedar Hill into a destination for families with special needs children.
