Picnic for the Parks was launched in 2022 as a reasonably priced, daytime, zero waste gathering that includes all the best parts of Nashville: good food & drink with live entertainment.

 

This event is held in a different park every year to showcase a capital project being championed by the Nashville Parks Foundation. Picnic for the Parks has been held at Fort Negley and Watkins Park, and was mostly recently at McCabe Park in 2024 raising money for a new playground as well as repairs and improvements throughout the park and community center.
