About Our Event
PICNIC FOR THE PARKS is the flagship annual fundraiser for the Nashville Parks Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization committed to enhancing public parks and expanding recreational opportunities across Metro Nashville.
Launched in 2022, Picnic for the Parks is a reasonably priced, daytime, zero waste gathering that includes all the best parts of Nashville: good food & drink with live entertainment.
This event is held in a different park every year to showcase a capital project being championed by the Nashville Parks Foundation. Picnic for the Parks has been held at Fort Negley, Watkins Park, McCabe Park and most recently Sevier Park.
Picnic for the Parks hosts over 250 attendees every year who feel connected to the outdoors, live an active lifestyle and find the city of Nashville a vibrant place to live. Attendees include community leaders, elected officials, local business professionals, park and other nonprofit professionals and enthusiastic neighbors.
